How Can I Get Involved?
Whether you are an individual, part of an organisation, of business, there are lots of ways for you to get involved. We need both people with a background in hospitality, food production, sustainability, community engagement, an academic background, and people who have a passion and want to learn more about creating a sustainable food culture. You can help in a number of ways:
Follow us:
- Sign up to receive our newsletter to find out about upcoming events and projects. Past editions can be read here
- Sign our Food Charter to show your support and make a pledge to make more sustainable food choices
- Follow us on Facebook
Support us:
- Help us update our website, or write something for our social media or newsletter?
- Could you help us gather evidence to support our future application for the SFP Bronze Award ?
- We also have a number of partner projects that you might like to consider volunteering with.
Join us:
- We are always looking for people to help steer the partnership forward. Can you help on the steering group to decide the strategic direction, help with our action plan, or can you lead a project? If interested in finding out more, please contact chair@winchesterfoodpartnership.org.uk
- We are currently looking for someone to help spread the word about our Winchester & Eastleigh Good to Grow network – to encourage people to sign up their community growing spaces and encourage people to take part.
- If you have an interest in our Access to Good Food work, we have a number of opportunities (short and long term) to help with our Healthy Start project, or the Social Inclusion Partnership. If interested, please contact ATGF@winchesterfoodpartnership.org.uk
- Equally, we are keen to hear about new projects or ideas; please reach out and we can put you in contact with others who might be interested in working together or developing the idea.
If you have any questions, or to discuss how you might like to be involved, please email chair@winchesterfoodpartnership.org.uk. If it is regarding a specific project, please reach out directly to the project lead – see Contact us for our emails
Please note we are all volunteers, so it may take a few days for us to respond to emails. Occasionally emails also end up in our spam folder, so if we haven’t responded after a week, please do reach out again.
