Our Winchester Good Food Movement aims to emphasise the contribution that food choices make to our environmental footprint, to encourage individuals and community led action.

We link into the Winchester Climate Action Network (WeCAN) which is a WinACC project bringing together like minded people who care about the climate crisis and want to do something now.

For more information about how communities can create and get involved in sustainable food projects please look at our toolkits:

The Good to Grow Network is all about getting people involved in their local community garden” A free, simple online resource from Sustain. Community growing spaces can advertise their location on the Good to Grow map and whether they are accepting new volunteers.

Growers can log how much food is grown on the Harvestometer. This helps to keep track of yearly yields and gives an estimate of how much money and carbon has been saved compared to buying produce from the supermarket (based on data available in 2022)

By signing up to the Good to Grow network you will be helping us keep track of active growing space in the Winchester area. If you are part of a community growing space, please register your details, so people can come and join in – https://www.goodtogrowuk.org/map/winchester-eastleigh/

What is good food? Sustainable food is produced, processed, bought, sold and eaten in ways that are:
