How Can I Get Involved?
There are lots of ways to get involved, whether you’re an individual, part of an organisation, or a business.
We welcome everyone—people with experience in hospitality, food production, sustainability, community engagement, or academic backgrounds, as well as anyone with a passion to learn more about creating a sustainable food culture.

- Winchester & Eastleigh Good to Grow Network We’re currently looking for someone to help spread the word about our community growing network—encouraging people to sign up their growing spaces and get involved.

Mobile Food Business Directory
If your mobile food business is based in Hampshire or nearby and can cater for events in the Winchester district, you can join our directory for free. Complete this short form or email GFM@winchesterfoodpartnership.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, you’ll need to meet at least three of the following criteria:
- Prioritise seasonal food
- Use local produce
- Serve 100% higher welfare meat, poultry, or fish
- Use 100% higher welfare dairy and free-range eggs
- Offer a 100% vegetarian menu
- Provide at least 2 plant-based (vegan) options
- Offer a 100% plant-based (vegan) menu
- Use Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, or similarly accredited products for tea, coffee, sugar, etc.
- Avoid single-use plastic (sachets, crockery, cutlery)
- Use 100% non-plastic consumables
- Pay employees the voluntary National Real Living Wage
- Offer discounts to customers using reusable containers
Why Only Three Criteria?
We believe in encouraging change, not demanding perfection. Every business and event organiser starts from a different place, and every sustainable choice—no matter how small—makes a positive impact on our environment and climate. When we all take small steps together, we create meaningful change.
